About Us

Founded in the year 1889, Tasati has a legacy of over a 130 years. The estate is spread across 1750 acres, on the periphery of the Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary in North West Bengal.

The pollution-free and fertile habitat, coupled with our expert management, allows for superlative crop plantation. The leaves are then processed through state-of-the-art machinery to produce remarkable quality CTC tea.

The most integral part of the Tasati family is the strength of its 1400 members, which is why the company takes care of housing, medical facility, education, hygiene and entertainment of the workers.

Our Process

Step
1

The tea plant is nurtured right from the point the first bud sees light, till it becomes a healthy bush of at least 3 years before it is ready to be plucked.

Every bush is closely inspected by a team of expert planters.

The pluckers undergo vigorous training before they are deployed to the field.

Only the newest and the tender most leaves are plucked from the crest of the plants.

For maintaining Tasati quality of tea, plucking rounds are determined by scientific calculations and monitored closely.

After the leaves are brought to the factory they undergo another round of strict inspection to ensure the standard.

The leaves are then processed in the finest CTC producing machines.
